Vintage Porcelain Ballerina Doll – White Feathered Tutu & Pearls

The story behind this collectible…

The current owner, inherited this ballerina from his late wife.  As I was told, her grandmother was a collector of porcelain dolls who traveled the world in search of the perfect doll for her collection back home in Tower City, PA.  His late wife received this collectable after her grandmother passed away around 1996.  Upon doing some research, this appears to be a Franklin Mint Anna Pavlova (1881-1931) collectible.  If this is correct, Anna was a legendary Russian prima ballerina.  Her most elaborate role was from Swan Lake, wearing an elaborate tutu with feathered detail.  Franklin Mint produced these dolls in the 1980’s, with an original price $125.00

Currently, I am not 100% comfortable saying that this is the above referenced doll.  Please also note that studio lighting was used in taking photographs and actual color may be different.
